Multiple PCB footprints for board-board header

    To clarify, a single header part is to be used and this is soldered onto both PCBs.

    No I don't think this is possible as the footprint can't be variable in size and split like a gated sch component.

    There are probably workarounds, but I would be tempted to have two separate designs to keep thing suitable.
    You may just want to create the pad hole pattern on the second board and not have a component to keep the component count correct.

    Thanks, I'd expected as much but thought I'd check. I've gone down the route of duplicating the component and using a suffix on the Name of the Component to denote PCB, e.g. J1a on PCB 'a' and J1b on PCB 'b'.
