I have a question regarding nets and copper pours. Here I have some capacitors which all need to be connected to a pin on an IC. I want to do a copper pour to help with current capacity and heat dissipation, as opposed to simply routing traces between them all. I make the copper pour, and ensure the correct net is selected. Then I connect a trace from the IC to the copper pour. Clearly, all the capacitors are connected properly, but the line still exists between the components as if they were not connected at all. Does anyone know why this happens, and if it's ok for me to remove the line between them, since I know it's actually connected?
