It's "Discovery SpaceClaim" but with DSM it's similar.
With create patterns, it's easy to adjust thickness of parts and their numbers.
    Best.

Yes, that is how I made the 16 ribs.

I wasn't clear enough. It is the small (5mm)  notches along the bottom, sides and top that are being cut individually. In the image you can see I have cut notches in the center of the bottom of each rib. I also have cut notches in the top of each rib on either end. Lastly, I have cut notches in the right side of each rib except for the front 5. These are the notches that I am individually cutting. I need to finish the notches on the right front 5, then all the way across the left side and then 2 more rows of notches along the bottom.

Those notches are for long supports that will run the length of the boat. They are mostly in la straight line in the back but they curve in and up towards the front.

Is there an easier way to do that?

Create a plane in your model on the Y, Z plane. Move it out away from the model.

Draw the required lines. Project these lines onto the model. Pull the resultant surfaces.

Tool "Split" with the setting of some parameters will to do the trick.

Aah!  Yes, that is exactly what I need for this job.  Thank you very much Nicosbou for taking the time to help!

In the example you provided, you appear to select all the cut points (planes) at one time. I am able to make the pattern just fine, but when I try to select all the planes at once to cut, I am unable to do so. I can only cut one at a time.

How did you select all the planes at once (CTRL-select doesn't work for me)?

I have tested with DSM 1, this technique does not work but changes "plane" by "surface" and appreciates the result.

It does not work for me.

I see you select Combine, then you touch the body of the boat to highlight it.

Then you draw a selection box to capture the bottom of each plane.  That causes them all to be highlighted.

On my DSM 2 system, selecting them all does not cause them to be highlighted.

Yes, I selected the planes starting at the bottom right and sweep up and left.  The planes do highlight but as soon as I let go of the mouse button they un-highlight.

I must be doing something wrong but I just cant see what it is.
