Importing 2d drawings into DS 5 that have jpg , bmp extensions

I would like to import a 2d drawing into design spark that has a jpg extension but the program will not accept it. However the info on the program says it recognizes jpg and bmp. Is there something I am doing incorrectly or do I need to purchase the program to get this function?

  Make sure that you have installed the 'Translators'

  Then use the 'File' icon on the.'Insert' tab
