This is an open forum for anyone to view, ask questions or reply to them. So if you attach your photo's here someone will most probably respond.

I would create an ellipse to the shape you want. Trim it so you have 1/4. Pull this around the vertical axis. Full Pull. Place a Plane on the axis. Combine/Cut using the Plane as the cutter.

Generally you need to define the cross section in a sketch...

Something like this - i've used the constraint sketcher but the traditional sketcher would also do.

then, exiting the sketcher, this closed profile becomes a face...

PULL the face around an axis to make into a solid...

I made an error in not having the back arc perpendicular to the revolve axis.

    Corrected here...

In DSM there are many ways to make shapes as i see Jacant has shown another way.

it's possible to add some colour to faces of solids.

Hi Tim. Thanks. I'll have a go and see if i can do it. I have no previous experience with 3d modelling or 3d software. I was a long distance truck driver until i had a bad accident. Due to injuries i cannot return to doing this. I made enquiries into replicating a trailer in diecast metal. As this was far too expensive, the next option was 3d printing. For this i needed a 3d model. So with no experience i attempted to try other free software. I found this one to be a lot easier to use than the others i tried. I admit that that i don't really understand anything that you said. But with the help of these clips you have posted i might be able to figure it out. Thanks again.

it is a good place to start.
