Make independent
How to I make an object independent? If I copy an object, any changes to the original also occur in the copy. There is a way to do this but I can't remember were the "Make independent " option is.

Right click the 'Solid' in the Design Window 'Make Independent'

Thank you for the reply. That did get me on the right track. I am using V5.0. When I right click on an individual object in the structure, "Make independent" is not an option. However, if right click on the component name, click on "Source", the "Make independent" option does become available.

Yes that works as well.
I did say click on the solid in the Design Window not the Structure tree.

Kenneth and Jacant...
so, nobody like a smarty pants but, you can select the part in structure browser/tree, move the curser slightly into graphics area ( out of structure window) RMB and 'Make Independent' is there..just needed to say. Moving the curser out of selection pane is also important for the function to work properly...odd eh!

I don't find it odd. You select something in the structure tree then move the cursor into the design window is exactly the same as selecting it in the design window.
The structure tree and the design window have different right click menu's.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Select by RMB (hold down key) in structure browser, move curser to graphics area ( just a tad), release and BINGO! This is just one click and a tiny curser move vs 4 clicks for an unactive part.
For an active part, either triple click or better, box select ( click and curser move to encompass the part ) then rmb = 2 clicks and a bigger than tiny move.
Sorry everyone - i need a covid / US election anti depression tonic. No offence anyone.
