    Hello.

I see the Official comment about this case error when open DSM v2. They talk about to TLS 1.2 update... But i works on Windows 8.1 and this problem TLS 1.2 is solved on this version of Windows... (I use DSM v2 32bits because need compatibility with other users than  works on this version).

    Best regards...

I've got the same problem, but wondering why it says that license was cecked more than 30 days ago? I've used it last weekend and it was working, I can't remember any message about lack of comunication with the server.

Solved on Windows 8.1 (NOT Windows 7).

I have been update .net framework v4.6.2 into the install DSM v5 wizard package and i try to run DSM v2 again. It's works ok and without connection error... I hope it's works for all.

    Best regards,

I have no choice but to work in 64-bit, but I can't pass data to the 32-bit version.
You have to let go of the familiar 32-bit machine. Very sad.
I want you to be able to save data in the old data format of Ver2.
Why can't I save the old data format?

    Hello,

I run the patch and go to Login Window. Next appear Update data profile window and finally "Internal Server Error".

I follow steps in post ( https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009296677-DSM-v2-32-bit-How-do-I-open-or-activate-the-software-if-there-is-an-internal-server-error-with-login-). But not solved "Internal Server Error" message.

Anyone with this problem ??. Thanks

Tha patch is working, but still no explanation how it stopped so suddenly (not after 30 days of being offline!)

Jayx . an explanation of the underlying issue was given in the 'incident status' article pinned at the top of this thread: https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005180754-ONGOING-INCIDENT-DesignSpark-Mechanical-v2-not-opening

Check update from 17:00 BST on October 2nd. It explains how the patch enforces use of TLS 1.2 by the DSM v2 client licencing app, which previously used TLS 1.0.

TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer accepted as secure protocols by the server and so licence check requests were bouncing off. This triggered the 30 day warning, which is a generic message indicating a failure in connecting to our licencing server.

DesignSpark Mechanical team, yes I've seen what was the underlying issue but I thought that the software will run off-line for 30 days so we should get the message and still be able to start DS Mechanical?

Maybe I've misunderstood, does it mean that it can't be started without internet connection, but will run without it for 30 days if I don't close and re-open it?

Jayx . the 'licence manager' allows DSM to run offline for up to 30 days before asking for an internet connection to open. Within those 30 days, you can close and re-open DSM offline as many times as you'd like.

That's what I thought, but after this incident with TLS protocol I thought something is not right. DS Mechanical stopped working immediatelly, not after 30 days of being unable to communicate with the server. So after it was fixed I've performed a simple check: opened DS Mech, closed it, disconnect from the internet and open DS Mech again. Did it work? No, I've got the message:

So could you explain please how can we run it offline for 30 days?
