Problem reading Technology file
Hi All,
A few months ago I posted a query about problems getting DSPCB 9.0.2 to read my Technology file for PCB pads - the .ptf file.
That post was here;
Boss, kindly replied and had me copy the old Technology file to the Ver 9 folder.
Well ... I think my computer must be haunted (haha) because the same problem is here again.
I set Preferences to be the Technology folder that DSPCB put all the V9 items in when it was installed.
My old .ptf file is there, with a unique name. default72.ptf
I go into Technology Transfer menu and ensure that the same folder is selected.
Using the drop down control I see that my old file is indeed there, default72
But when I select it, nothing appears in the right hand window that should show the pads.
default72.ptf is a 15 kbyte file, so it clearly has something in it.
Any help in resolving this is much appreciated.
You know what I would REALLY like to do, is have the Technology file is a special folder hierarchy that is routinely backed up - not the C:\Users hierarchy.
I have done this successfully for the Library files, but the Technology file is a never ending headache.
Thank you so much,

Hmmmmm ............
Well, now I seem to have it working, but not sure how/why.
As I kept "poking" at the problem, I decided to add another, default.ptf to the directory in question.
Then using the drop down selector within the Settings | Technology Transfer dialog box, I selected the newly added, default.ptf.
Then the pads all appeared in the "Pad Styles in Technology File".
I went back to my default72.ptf, and now that started working as well.
This morning I checked it again.
No pads for default.ptf
So using the drop down (as described above) I selected, default72.ptf
And now they both work.
Don't really know what is going on, but I seem to be back in business.
Thanks
