text, esp. as a component

How do I create text that is part of the design, such as extrudable labels.  The only text related tools I can find are Dimension and Import for images.

  You would need to do it manually:

  1. Import an image of the text label and then either use the 'place wrapped' (for curved surfaces) or 'planar' (for flat faces)

  2. Use the Spline tool in 2D mode to get the text shape and use the 'Pull' tool to extrude them in 3D.

  Thank you both.  I worked my way through the method linked by Nicosbou and was successful in getting it to work.  There were a few issues that I think arise from differences in the version of Design Spark that I have and the one in the linked demo.  Some things have been moved or renamed in the interface.
