Custom SMD pad shapes

 I need to create a custom shaped pad for a surface mount RF coaxial connector.  The ground connection is an annulus shape with a slot/void through one side.  It looks like this is impossible to do in design spark.  This is unacceptable for my purposes.  I will have to find another tool for PCB layout.

  When it comes to custom pads, you can do far more than you think in DS PCB if you know what you are doing.

  What is the coax connector's part number?  Have you checked the online part library, and asked for it to be added if it isn't already in there? (They will do it free.)
  
  If they can't, give me a chance and I'll see what I can do.

  Looking back at the original post, as a general tip for other user, don't assume something can't be achieved as you don't know how it can be done.
