Unfortunately, DSM doesn't have a 'wrap' or 'project to curved surface' facility.

You can approximate the effect -- albeit rather laboriously -- by using the method I demonstrate here: https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360015056258/comments/360004040358.

The more sections you split the surface into the more accurate the result.

However, if the pattern you are trying to wrap is as simple as the one you show above, it may be easier to construct it:

    Hello,
thanks for the help, I will try it this way.

    Micha.

Geometry may be driven using labels.

Some of this information may help.

It can also be done without ... all the complicated and pointless faffing around.

    Micha,

@ Me Here - that way is fast.

My approach has an error in which the surface being cut is only an approximate wrap. It would be OK if using a cylinder cutter on a round.

The 'longhand' approach would be to take more sections , creating more points of true radius length with enough to make a better approximation 'Face spline' forming an area to be removed. I agree this takes time.
