Arduino uno shield outline
I am prototyping a design on a proto shield and once proven will want to layout a design specific shield that will plug o to a Uno board. Before i invest the time in designing from scratch I wondered if there was an outline (shape with connector positions) available in a library that j could import to add my custom interconnects to. If there is would someone provide me a link please.
Many thanks.

Hello Christopher, the PCB outline within DesignSpark PCB only allows the board outline which is not useful for connector positions.
An FAQ is in progress with a bare PCB which will have connector positions documented, but I currently do not have timescales.
If any user already has a PCB meeting these requirements can they send it to the support team by the "submit a request" button and it will be shared with other users. Thank you.

Design Spark has some reference designs, including an Uno R3 compatible shield.

We have now published an Arduino Uno shield and a suggested method of working with the PCB file.
https://www.rs-online.com/designspark/save-time-and-use-an-existing-pcb-design-with-a-new-designThe article references three new FAQ's showing the method of developing any reference PCB for easy use in a new design project.
Feedback is always welcome and we would love to receive any PCB's designs that you create using the method which we share with the community.
The suggested method can be expanded to creating a reference project with the schematic and PCB including the basic components already loaded should you use a common set of components.
