Thank you for your quick comment. Now save as stl works fine.

Now I just have one issue which is not critical.

My start menu shows a message as follows:(This might be happen because I'm not logged in. I wonder if I can use this CAD tool without logging in.)

    We're sorry...

Unfortunately you have reached a page that does not exist. You could start at our

Homepage or you may want to try one of the links below...

Anyway, I like this new feature very much.

I wonder if you can add "Mirroring image" function.

@masaaki nakamura: can you right-click inside the start menu page of the software, open 'Properties' and send us a screenshot of the Address (URL) field?

Also, are you using the Japanese or English version of the software UI?

    Hi,

    I download DSM 4 and install, after  restart when I try to open;

looks like  trying to open for 4 seconds and stops.

(the rolling wheel on the screen  shows loading)

This Happening on Widows 7  64Bit.

I was wondering if there is any way to fix this.

     thanks

@masaaki nakamura: thanks for letting us know. The URL seems to be incorrect, we will report to the developers to fix it in the proper release.

@nikolas soner: there is a reported issue with the activation system and it is being tracked here:

    https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011457393

As soon as we have fixed it, the article will be updated.

    HI,

DesignSpark version 4.0 fails to open STEP files. you get an error like this one:

    Failed to import "C:\Personal\CNC Build\Coupler D30L35-6.35-10.0.STEP"

    I guess it is bug.

    Zahir.

    Hi Clive,

The beta already does have STL support.

You may have forgotten to install the components provided within the 'Translations' sub-folder of the installer package. Run setup.exe in that folder after you have finished the base DSM installation from the 'Release' sub-folder.

Full install instructions are provided to users in the 'README.txt' file within the installer archive/ZIP. Also available here: https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010645273

    Kind regards,

    DSM Support

Great to see an new version of DSM.

I've just skimmed through the released notes and it appears there's still no function to mirror geometry. Did I miss it? It's a basic feature.

    Andy,

There's a tutorial on how to use the 'construction line mirror' function in DSM: https://designspark.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015306893

    Thanks Joy.

However, that feature is for mirroring sketches. There is no way to mirror solid geometry.

It's a shame there is no hobbiest/non-commercial license available for the full spaceclaim as I would certainly pay for it if it was priced appropriately. I am mainly using Fusion 360 as it is, but I do prefer the designspark/spaceclaim workflow.

*** solved *** Installed translators, now works fine

Why is it not possible to import STEP files anymore?

I get the following status when dragging and dropping a STEP file into DSM:
    Failed to import "...\file_ame.STEP"

According to a DSM link the following formates are supported:

    v4.0:

Import: RSDOC, ECAD files (IDF, IDB, EMN), OBJ, SKP, STEP (read only), STL, TXT, JPG, BMP, PNG
