- What is a project file?
- A project file is composed of multiple documents
- Documents would be displayed in a tree structure inside a project file
- What can be included into the project file?
- DesignSpark Electrical files (e.g. cover page, Scheme drawings, etc.)
- Supplementary documents such as Acrobat, Word and Excel files.
- How to view the project?
- You can view all of projects in “Project Manager”.
- “Project Manager” would be launched automatically when DesignSpark Electrical starts.
- If not,
- Click “Projects Manager” in File tab of the top ribbon
- All projects would be shown in the Project Manager list
- How to create a new project?
- Click “New” in the Project Manager
- Select project template
- There is no limit to the number of projects you can create but each project can contain a maximum of 15 pages.
- Project Templates are predefined project that contains standard configuration, project data and documents.
- Any project can be saved as a template to add to the 4 provided. This can be useful if you create many proposals for the same customer, for example (see more details in Project Management (2)).

- Enter relevant data for the new project properties
- New project has been created and added to the “Documents” tab in the side panel
