Q: Why does the ribbon bar change as I am working in the tool?
A: The ribbon bar is the main navigation method in DesignSpark Electrical. In order to be as intuitive as possible, the ribbon bar has been made intelligent and adaptive. It will display different tabs and options depending on what you are working on at the time. For example, when you are in the tool but not actively working on a page in a project, the options in the ribbon bar will be limited to those relevant to likely next steps, such as managing projects and archiving the environment. Once you open a project and are actively working in a page, the ribbon bar will change to offer the options you need at that point, with tools and buttons relevant to the type of page being worked on. This will be most obvious when working on the wiring line diagram, schematics or 2D cabinet layout, where new tabs will appear in the ribbon bar, offering tools specific to the tasks in hand.
